Over the years Leamington’s independent shops have seen a decline; McIntosh & Paul owner Ian Chauncey was keen to reverse this and to help Leamington regain its reputation as a brilliant place to shop. And so, McIntosh & Paul was established in 2012 – as a Home Accessories & Gifts Boutique, based on Regent Street in Royal Leamington Spa. Ian named the boutique in memory of his partner Paul ‘McIntosh’ (his mother’s maiden name).
McIntosh & Paul owner Ian Chauncey approached The Magic Tractor and asked us to produce all their online and offline marketing material having seen the work we’d produced for other local retailers. So coffees were drank and thinking caps don’d… given the name, and it’s strong personal meaning, we introduced a tartan texture to support the brand name which features consistently across both all McIntosh & Paul marketing material.
The online objective was to create a strongly branded site that illustrates the retail experience and highlights the unique products stocked, with a particular emphasis on artist Sid Dickens’ Memory Blocks and Voluspa scented candles. As well as representing the retail experience online it was vital that the web content could be managed easily and quickly by the client – this was achieved by The Magic Tractor providing a secure login area that opens up a clean simple intuitive dashboard.
We really enjoy working with Ian and Michelle (alongside photographer Sally Crane) to produce their print advertising, exterior signage, promotional postcards, stationery and website, long may it continue…
